Family photo sessions are a lot like jigsaw puzzles. Each person is their own unique piece and the completed puzzle is displayed in gorgeous heirloom images for your family to treasure for generations to come. My focus is all things family, from new additions to updating your family photos. I use a combination of prompts, games, and posed photography to bring out the true personality of your family. Often one of my rubber ducks will make an appearance to help take younger kids minds off the camera in front of them.
I'm also an avid Northern Lights Chaser, and co-run Nine Mile Aurora Chasers. Northern Lights are truly one of the most magical things I've ever witnessed, and each storm is unique.

am the owner and photographer behind the lens. Photography started as a way to relieve stress, but little did I know, I would fall in love with taking family photographs. In my free time, I'm usually found with my camera somewhere in Washington, Idaho, or British Columbia hiking or camping. I love finding off the beaten path hiking trails leading to lakes, peaks, and sometimes the highest outhouse in the area. My hiking and outdoors background allows me to pair family sessions with amazing locations.

A few of my favorite things include traveling and, my fur family. My household includes my mom, 4 cats, 3 dogs and 13 chickens. Fresh eggs anyone?
When I'm not at home, I'm generally traveling to new locations. I love finding new locations and exploring off the beaten path. One of my favorite trips was camping on Lopez Island and up the coast of Vancouver Island. My travels have allowed me to find many locations that I love sharing with my clients for those one of a kind portraits.

There is nothing quite like the adrenalin of chasing the Northern Lights. It's really one of the most surreal experiences ever to watch them dance on the horizon, or even better overhead.
This gorgeous show was caught in Deer Park, Washington.

I had the wonderful, low stress, productive pleasure of Ashlee photographing my family over the last year and a half. After having our preemie, Ashlee took exquisite photos of my son and I as he gained strength in the NICU. Since then, we have had her take two sets of family photos and a first birthday "cake smash." On two of those occasions, my son was less than content- having not slept well. Each time, my expectations were blown out of the water after receiving her pictures- how did she manage to show him smiling and content!? I could take the easy way out and describe it as luck- but as it has happened twice, I must chalk it up to experience. Go with Ashlee- you'll not be disappointed.
